Shipping news · how it works
How the news hub works
Our copyright policy, the sources we read, and what the "Sample" badge means in this preview.
Illustrative sample · how this hub works
This preview has no live feed. Every item on these pages is an illustrative sample written by Naavra and marked "Sample". None is a real news story, and none is a real release of the source it names. The link on each card goes to that source's public news page, not to an article.
On the live hub we show the headline, the source, the date and a link to the original, then our own short summary and why it matters to you. We never copy article text, and we read only sources that license or permit this use. How the hub works and our copyright policy.

Original summaries, always attributed
What we show
- The headline, as the source published it.
- The source's name and the date.
- A link to the original on the source's own site.
- Our own 2 to 3 sentence summary, written from scratch.
- One line on why it matters to you, tagged by who it matters to.
What we never do
- Copy or paraphrase article text closely, or show images from the source.
- Read a site against its terms, or get round a paywall.
- Present a sample, a guess or an unconfirmed report as news.
- Publish a summary no person has reviewed.
Where items come from
- Regulators' and public bodies' own public releases.
- Publisher RSS feeds offered for this kind of use.
- Publisher APIs under a written licence.
- Each source is switched on only once its licence or terms are recorded.
Corrections and takedown
- Every item names its source and links to it.
- A publisher can ask us to correct or remove an item, and we act within one working day.
- Write to the news desk through the contact page.
- Corrections are shown on the item, with the date.

Who each item is tagged for
Every "why it matters to you" line names the role it matters to most. The numbers are sample items per role.
Sources
The sources in this preview
Regulators' and public bodies' own releases. On the live hub a source is switched on only once its licence or permitted-use terms are recorded, and every item links back to it.
